Debbie Arambula, The Heart Artist~ Inside Peek 25 Years of Adventures ~Part 1
When I look over the past 25 years, I am like WHAT? WHAT? DID I PAINT ALL THIS!!! Holy cow! From Reverse Glass paintings on vintage rescued recycle glass windows, to painted wine glasses.
The Heart Art Paintings were inspired from my Wild Whimsical Debbie Doodle Vases.
From Hand painted glass canvases to one of my first colorful swirls of Heart Art on Canvas 1000’s of heart art paintings are proudly placed in homes all over the world. Early on my collectors affectionately named me The Heart Artist, The Heart lady and this is where The Heart Artist name was born.
Each Hand-painted vase has 100’s of brush strokes of acrylic enamel for longevity and wash ability. The copper wire was added so that you can hang the vase on the wall.
From flowers painted at 9 years old to the birth of my new series, introduced in the summer of 2019, Twitterpated is a mixture of heavy texture and colorful flowers in the shape of a heart. it is a series that was 50 years in the making.
Notice the Twitterpated flowers in this first piece. This creation has been brewing inside me since I was a child. I remember drawing these little flowers over and over again. Something about it was soothing and made me feel a certain delight.
No matter what I paint, I hope to inspire people to feel Twittepated about life!
Love

Please share a story about how & where you met me, in the comment section below. I love hearing from you!
The origin of ‘Twitterpated” 1942, apparently first attested in the Walt Disney movie “Bambi” excited or overcome by romantic feelings; smitten. A past-participle adjective formed from twitter in the “tremulous excitement” noun sense (1670s) + pate (n.2) “head” (compare flutterpated, 1894).
The scene from the movie Bambi:
Thumper: “Why are they acting that way?” Owl: “Why, don’t you know? They’re twitterpated.”
Flower (Skunk), Bambi & Thumper: “Twitterpated?”
Friend Owl: “Yes. Nearly everybody gets twitterpated in the springtime. For example: You’re walking along, minding your own business. You’re looking neither to the left, nor to the right, when all of a sudden you run smack into a pretty face. Woo-woo! You begin to get weak in the knees. Your head’s in a whirl. And then you feel light as a feather, and before you know it, you’re walking on air. And then you know what? You’re knocked for a loop, and you completely lose your head!”
Thumper: “Gosh, that’s awful”
And I will leave you with this. We all get Twitterpated from time to time. For me every time I paint I am inspired, all I can do is to put the energy into the canvas and hope you feel it too! And thus my life’s purpose unfolds into each work of art.
