Garden Treasures ~by Debbie Arambula
A few years ago I set out to McMinnville, Oregon on a road trip with my cousin Annie to visit a dear friend, Heather.
It’s funny how time flies by so fast you almost forget what you did last week.
I remember having luscious coffee with the girls and walking around the town, enjoying each other’s company.
So often we work and work and work, and hardly take the time to smell the roses, enjoy a cup of coffee with the girls, go on a date with your hubby, do some simple shopping with your daughter, or just talk on the phone with your son.
Life is busy right? And I know when I get cranky, it is because I have had no time with myself or with the ones I love and adore.
While enjoying our time together, I saw this little patch of tulips and took a shot with my phone. It reminds me of that simple pleasure moment & first road trip with my cousin Annie and how I enjoyed laughing with my sister/girl friends.
It is never too late to steal time for yourself and have an adventure. It’s never too late to change your mind and take a breather and share time with friends, family . . .
Sometimes I visualize that I am 82 years old and I am sitting on my porch swing with my hubby and my cousin Annie, and we are happy and thankful for all the wonderful memories we have created in our life with each other and our garden of family and friends. Enjoy your family, work hard, play hard but always let them know how much you love them. Not a day goes by without me calling my Mom to say I love you.
