*Living the DREAM* Magic Along the Journey

In 2013 I decided to close my very successful gallery. I had run my own gallery for over 13 years, that dream had been accomplished and the updated version of my dream was to get an RV and create a Mobile Gallery /Art Studio, touring the country, meeting wonderful people along the way while painting and selling my art and participating in the top fine art shows in the country.  So I gave notice to the landlord that I would not be renewing my lease.

Let me remind you, I had no RV at that point, but knew it felt right. Over many sleepless nights I went back and forth on the choice of giving up my beautiful successful gallery that I worked so hard for, or to go for my new dream of traveling and being a mobile gallery and spreading love across the nation. In the end, the new dream kept tugging on my heart like a child saying “This way, this way….” and so I jumped off the cliff and knew it was the right move!”

That same day I painted this piece I call “Tulip Transition”. It flowed out of me like electric energy, with direction, confidence & conviction.

Tears of joy and a bittersweet sadness swirled around me while I embraced the new journey we were about to venture into. And with each stroke of oil paint, the voice of decision “JUST GO FOR IT” spoke to my heart and soul louder than ever.  Of course fear was sitting on my shoulder waiting to pounce on my soul at any given moment, but painting this piece was a triumphant expression of my fearless intention and dedication to live my dream. A few days after painting this piece on my 53rd birthday, a 32 RV pretty much fell in our laps and the DREAM was in full motion.

Today, almost two years later I celebrate my 55th birthday, on the beautiful road, away from family (that I miss terribly) and I realize why challenges in achieving the dream make you stronger and why ‘freedom is not free’. And just how some things you create in the present have an even deeper meaning in the future.

May you always live your dream my friend. May you always find the strength, the tools, the reasons, the inspiration and the support from family and friends to reach your dreams!
